RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, WITH THE IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR AND TENT STATE UNIVERSITY, HOST THE “TENT STATE MUSIC FESTIVAL TO END THE WAR” DURING THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

ALSO SCHEDULED TO PERFORM: THE FLOBOTS, THE COUP, STATE RADIO, AND WAYNE KRAMER

Rage Against the Machine has joined forces with the Iraq Veterans Against the War and Tent State University to perform as part of the “Tent State Music Festival to End the War” on Wednesday, August 27 at the Denver Coliseum. They will join the Flobots, The Coup, State Radio, and Wayne Kramer. Doors open at 9:30 am, show begins at 11 am.

Tickets are free and available by lottery. Sign up for the lottery, with a valid photo ID (person must be present) at Tent State University at Cuernavaca Park between 11 am and 6:30 PM (look for the Tent State Music Festival booth near the IVAW Tower) Sunday, August 24 through Tuesday, August 26 during the D.N.C. The rumor is 50,000 people are gonna show up. They did it eight years ago, when it was slightly relevant, but now it just seems like a publicity thing.

The band isnt really about Democracy, i think more Anarchy or Libertarianism.

I dont really think it would matter if Obama, Clinton or Mccain won, Punk Rock will always be Punk Rock. Anti Industry and Anti Establishment. Im pretty sure they want a revolution or government to be overthrown.

If youve heard any of Zach's speeches, he always says how the Presidents are guilty of war crimes and should be put to trial and hung. It almost has nothing to do with the Democrats or republicans.

It is weird seeing Wayne Kramer's name too. I could be wrong, but the last Democtratic Convention he played anywhere near was in '68 outside the convention in Chicago, as part of MC5, when the band barely made it out of there as the riot began.
