i still can not believe it has been that long. i remember everything about that day and how pissed off I was. I do not think I would care as much now, for some reason that show meant more to me then the show does now. I chalk it up to being older.

If R&F got canceled now, and I could not listen to them anymore on XM, I would be ever more upset then I was 6 years ago

Never 4get?? They are on XM now and can say all the naughty things in the world. Have you listened to any of those old tapes from WNEW?? Sure some of the stuff is funny, but there are other things on their that make you cringe too. How about this...never forget to renew your XM/Sirius subscription so long as Ron and Fez and O&A are on there.

I've listened to old clips, and while they are still funny, I was thinking how much I was into the show back then, and it doesn't even compare to how much funnier the show is now.

There's a lot of factors, from them being older, to switching from afternoon to mornings, to changing the general structure of the show, to buying too much into their own hype, to a lot of different things.

But, the moral of the story is that those WNEW shows might as well be Earth 2.

O&A aren't those guys anymore, in terms of their lives in general.


In a sense you can say the same thing about R&F when comparing shows from those days, to now. They're just different people these days.


It's really not productive to even compare anymore. O&A and R&F are probably never going to do NEW style shows ever again.


I'm not trying to suggest that's a bad thing, by the way...different does not equal bad.

unless I listen to music I still have not found anything more entertaining during their time slots.
I have tried local radio stations before and just recently when I had a rental car for a week realized again that I still love them more than any other show or radio station out there.

I have to agree with the sentiment that if Ron & Fez were gone it would be even worse. It took me a few listens to get into the show and now prefer it over O&A by far.
