Steve Austin wrestling at Wrestlemania XXV?

The Sun posted a new article regarding "Stone Cold" Steve Austin possibly having a Ric Flair-style send off at WrestleMania XXV. Next year’s WrestleMania will take place in his home town of Houston, TX.

A WWE source told The Sun: "Austin wants to make sure that if he gets into the ring, it's not just to capitalize on his name. He wants to be the best performer on the show. If he can't live up to that, he won't do a match. If he can be the old Stone Cold, then you'll see him wrestle at Wrestlemania XXV."

That'd be awesome and it makes sense it being his home town and everything. Of course I don't know why he's having a send off now when he hasn't really been around the past few years.

Wait I am confused when could he ever wrestle???

I thought he just drank beer and badly kicked and punched people, I dont think I ever saw him really wrestle. Only good wrestling match I ever saw him in was against Dustin Rhodes in an old WCW match that was 2 of 3 falls.

Glad to know that there were others out there in the same boat as I was, regarding "Free-Per-View".
To me, those were the glory days, and I thankfully it happened during a time when wrestling was awesome (late 90's/early '00) but my last free-per-view was WM 21. :sad: At least it ended on a Wrestlemania for me.
I don't order PPV's much these days, but the only ones for me are Royal Rumbles and Wrestlemania (if the card is good).
Right now I enjoy the WWE 24/7 on demand. At least I could see some great old stuff.

As far as Stone Cold goes, if he does wrestle at WM 25, I'll bet it's against John Cena.

there was a local bar that used to show them and all they asked for was that you spent at least 10 bucks

I think the match they should go with is Austin vs. a heel CM Punk. Punk's straight edge stance would lead to some awesome promos vs. everyone's favorite beer drinker.
