i laugh at the radio show every single day. There is something in every episode that has me rolling.


A problem wtih a lot of fans is, the show doesn't have its "freshness factor". Its not new and exciting anymore. Its really hard to sustain interest in a 5 hour show where you already know all their tricks and turns. Because the old bits that you still laugh at, its listening to with nostalgia (because laughter comes from surprise). I just stay positive...if a segment stinks, i forget about it...if a segment is great, i appreciate it. I think analyzing and complaining just brings a negative experience to something that once gave you joy

The big "reveals" are over for most of us.

As awesome as today's show was (Voss Vs everyone), it will never match the 1st days when i couldn't tell if it was "opie" or "Anthony" who was telling the story of being set up on a much anticipated horseback camping date, "Dice" and "Damn you" bits, JN "monster rain" and escorts, Op's tortured past, learning to appreciate Patrice's singular brilliance, radio wars and hearing a 1st pest call to keyboards...

I'm guessing that the shrinking audiences for talk radio ( less new, typically younger listeners) means that the average fan age is ever increasing, so that an ever higher % of us are longer term fans, with less #s of new turnover fans...

So more of us are going to find the show less fresh..., even if i am still enjoying the
show.

I'll admit the show's picked up steam this September. I think the reason is because there's slightly less Anthony-is-bitter-about-Jill-and-politics-and-taxes ranting shit that is going on. I've enjoyed the show the past two weeks... except when we go through the "It's-All-About-Anthony" segment.

So the show is officially off my "Unlistenable Garbage" list for now. Those bitches are still on probation tho.

And if I don't listen to O&A on the radio, I don't listen to radio. Period. (besides R&F)

I have to agree with you, todays show ruled! Especially the XM side for a change. Hope to get more of this, especially with contracts due and xm/sirius stock dipping below Geraldo's little toe.
