So I went on the interview today and needless to say they were....AND I QUOTE...impressed with me. I start training for the gig Thurs night and it would be cool if I had some of my pals down to come visit.

Soon as I find out a schedule.
Im training there tomorrow and sunday. Soon as thats done they should let me know.

And Im psyched that this is a nice place. They serve food, lotsa beers on tap, nice outside front area, pool table, kick ass internet jukebox. It looks like theres nice normal alcoholics there. Not the peices of garbage I had at the Breffini. Should be lotsa fun.

Thats kinda funny cause the way I got the job was I did everything in the interview I was told NOT to do and haven't been doing in the past.
I took over the conversation, interrupted almost every question asked of me and pretty much bullshitted and babbled my way into it.


Oh yeah, just got back from 1st night of training.....

1) Met one of my new bartending partners...29yr old extremely sultry strawberry blonde girl from Long Island named Jenn.
2) My manager is a 40+yr old cougar whom you def wouldnt throw away at the end of the night whose VERY friendly after a few drinks....
3) They have really really good wings

How did you get into bartending...did you take a class? I always wondered about that.....

I actually knew how to make a few drinks here and there cause I have alot of bartender friends.
Then couple years back an ex had an idea to take bartending classes together so thats how I kinda got into it.
My honest opinion.....all you really need to know is how to be fast. Most drinks have the same basic formulas and such. As a patron and a bartender I like to see speed when serving or being served. I hate waiting on anything for longer than I have to.
