Million Father March

I normally take the first day of school off to help get the kids into their new schedule. This year our youngest is starting kindergarden. So, I've taken the whole first week off to distract mommy, who's been tripping over our little shitheads every day for the past almost eight years, from the sound of an empty house (she's gonna get a lil' nutty).

However, I just heard that the Sept. 2 is National Million Father March Day. I checked the website and apparently I lack the required skin tone to participate: " The Million Father March 2008- Black Men Will Lead the Nation Back to School Again in 2008"

In the spirit of racial unity, am I now obligated to go to work on Tuesday and leave the missus to fend for herself? I just don't want to do anything that would seem racist and I certainly don't want any trouble. I am so confused.

This Year Black Men Will Again Lead the Nation Back to School. We want 500,000 men in 300 cities to take their children to school this first fall school day of 2008. And we want all of you men to lead all other men and women of all races and ethnicities to be with their children also on this first important day of their lives.
