Mixed Txt mesages?

So I have been kinda dating this woman for a few months. Nothing serious and not exclusive. So I sent her a text over the weekend and asked if she wanted to go out this week. She did not respond and I saw her during the week (we work together, and don’t tell me I shouldn’t date someone from work, this is not what this is about, I know it’s a bad idea!) but she never said anything to me.
So tonight I asked why she didn’t get back to me and that I wasn’t mad, just curious. Her first response was “I didn’t get back to you?” and then she said she remembered that she intended to, but she guess that she forgot and then asked if I wanted to get a quick drink after work and that she is supposed to hang out with her friends later in the night.
I told her I would get back to her because I am supposed to hang out with friends tomorrow also, but the fact is I do want to see her and I know if I do go out with her I can get her to blow off her friends to stay with me.
I am real confused because it seems like I kinda got blown off because she should have remembered that she never responded to me when she saw me right? But then again why would she ask me to go out for drinks if she was blowing me off? Very fucking confused. What do ya think?

First off, for advice in this thread...you can't really take what happens with Txt messages as "signals". There has been times I have legitimately not gotten text messages. There have been times when ive gotten text messages and had all intention of getting back to that person and I just forgot. And there has been times when I didnt hear that I got a text, and when i finally see that I got one I would sound weird if i responded because it was so late



Now to "mixed up Text Messages"...i once got this text from a chick..it was a wrong number. I forgot the exchange, I think I got something generic, asked "who are you", she said she was Lauren or something. Whatever. Anyway when she realizes its a wrong number, I thought it would be funny to send "its a good thing you didnt send anything embarrassing, like a dirty pic-text or something"..thinking that maybe she will. She writes back "Don't text me anymore". Fucking cunt. I'm not the retard sending text messages to the wrong number. What a fucking bitch..i hate her
