This thread is to present bands or solo artists that may not need a whole thread dedicated to them but are still viable artists. Bands, musicians from the past are all welcome, as is current music.

I realize Gov't Mule already had a thread dedicated to it, but I couldn't resist.

Loved the Circle Jerks off of Repo Man in an ealier post. No better music than the mid-eighties bands like Black Flag, Minutemen, Fugazi

Couldn't agree with you more Yojimbo7248. And Waiting Room is one of the great songs.

I just watched a video of 16 horsepower from '96 called Black Soul Choir. Unique band; the lead instrument was banjo, and the bass player used a stand-up. I really liked the song, and now am trying to find something more recent.

That's definitely their signature song. The last album they recorded, Folklore, was a lot slower and eerier, than previous stuff, but it worked beautifully.

All of it is good if you like americana drenched in revival-tent venom and Faulkner-esque southern gothic.
