NFL Football blows....the sport itself is great, but its been so bastardized down into the slowest paced game.

Four 15 minutes quarters and on 15 minute half time = 1:15 game time

they need time for commercials

Exactly.

The first time I saw a game at the Metrodome they were playing and then they just stop without calling timeout and just start milling around. I was really confused at first.

The downtime really ruins the flow too. The offense can be on a great drive and then go to commercial. It ices them sometimes.

Yea and the "commercial time" isn't often normal in the flow. There are tv timeouts, timeouts, the two-minute warning. At least while I'm at a baseball game the breaks are much more natural.

There are no TV timeouts during a drive unless one of the teams calls a timeout. The tv time-outs are only between change of possessions, and could fit inbetween pitches if there is a runner on first who can steal a base.

Yea and the "commercial time" isn't often normal in the flow. There are tv timeouts, timeouts, the two-minute warning. At least while I'm at a baseball game the breaks are much more natural.

And, perhaps the best thing about baseball, is that it is a sport that isnt dictated by the clock....it naturally plays itself out....not a slave to time.

absolutely. I am an architect, and always wanted to design a baseball stadium that had no clocks within it.
not only is the 9 innings of a game without time constraints, but the game itself is "timeless."
