I agree to the extent that Dave could play a vital role to the show. I think his bits and characters are great. Especially when you consider that he is raw talent. But, unfortunately when he is always on mic Fez shrivels up and hides. I don't blame ESD, Fez uses him as a crutch.

Thats what makes the show so funny is when you have the genius of Ron and the stupidity of Dave. Thats why having Crazed on is so halarious because of the drastic contrast in minds. Fez is funny when he tries and has good days but siriusXM wouldnt hire the Ron and Fez show based soley on Ron and Fez's interactions on the show. They need Dave to make the show what it is, and that is entertaining to an audience that is entertained by the lesser more stupid things because even when they are talking about things that are over the audiences head like hardly seen movies Ron is able to interact with dave because Dave gets what ron is talking about but instead of having more of an inciteful review of what the movie is he says something stupid and Ron can make fun of him and it is always funnier when ron makes fun of dave rather than Fez and it can bring a usually ignorant audience right back into the show when they have no idea of the movie or book or subject that ron and dave are talking about.

When Fez regains his form, and I know he will soon, Sirrus/Xm will be lucky to have the brillance that is the Ron and Fez show. I truely believe he is slowly creeping out of his funk. Did you here those best of shows when Fez totally DOMINATED the show at times. He's friggin brilliant in his own right. Wow talk about out of context. You take one thing he's done and apply it to his whole interaction with the show. He DOES make legitimate jokes and offers all sorts of comedy. Yes, Fez is funny, but that doesn't mean Dave can't also be funny.

I've been a R&F fan for about a year and a half now. I'm glad ESD came thru this. He does have his humorous moments and moments when he makes me shake my head and wonder what the fuck is wrong with him. But, that's OK. He has to deal with whatever things happen because of what he says and does.

Are half his problems are caused by trying to be part of the O&A show? I just wonder if ESD realizes that he's going into a different environment all together when he get's around their show. R&F's show comes off like a tight group of friends who hang together and carry on like it. I know that they often remind me of when I was less long in the tooth and ran with a group of biker buddies and friends. They screw around with each other and give each other hell at times, but it's about always fun to be a part of it. It's like the show invites listeners in for awhile and lets them hang as if they were also part of that circle. O&A are so different. Except for maybe Jimmy Norton, nobody else gets close. I've heard them say before that if you're hanging out with them it's only because you have a role to play where they use you to their own ends. Understand that or don't come near. (This was in a commentery about somebody who got upset when they participated in an O&A event and weren't invited backstage later to hang out.) I remember hearing a R&F regular caller say he didn't listen to O&A show because their show was nasty in nature, as in mean spirited. After listening for a couple hours every morning on my way to work over a month I came to see what he meant. It isn't what you are doing for their amusement, but that you ARE doing it. (Spare me the hate - They can do as they like and I'm glad for the people that enjoy them. I'm just not one of them so I don't listen. I wouldn't want them to be taken off the air or anything like that) So, long way round, I kinda think ESD would be better watching what he does around O&A and not let himself get roped into anything.

And I wouldn't like to see Ron And Fez become Ron & Dave:down:
