Buy Sgt. Peppers or the soundtrack to a Broadway Musical. It's the same thing.
Seriously, Rubber Soul and/or Revolver.

Vol. 2 and 3 of the Anthology series.
Speaking of the anthologies...I remember thinking "Free as a Bird" sucked when it came out, but it's really grown on me over the years. It's a got a great melancholy to it, and George's guitarwork is fantastic. Plus, the video is great:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s332Tt0zxYs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s332Tt0zxYs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
That'll get you going.
I would caution getting the Beatles' albums on CD at this point since they will inevitably be re-released with remastering some time in the relative near future, and the CD versions out there now are decent, but pretty far from stellar sound quality-wise.

Damn. You are right about "Free As A Bird" I remember ABC debuted it after their epic Beatles Anthology. It first it was eh. But yeah, it turned out to be really good over time.

The red album and the blue album
The red and the blue albums are great collections. I have them on cassette somewhere.

I guess this thread would be a good place to ask this...I've been searching for a decent poster print of this photo of the Beatles from their Hamburg days:

Anyone have any idea where to find one? I've looked all over the place online and can only find tiny photo-sized versions for sale.

The red and blue album actually have better sound quality than a bunch of the current album versions, plus it culls a bunch of singles that aren't actually on the abums right now. That's the other big reason to hold off on buying all the albums on CD...the current releases are the British LP's, so key singles are missing off the albums that were only released as singles or EP's. You need to get either the red and blue albums to fill in most of the gaps or get the two Past Masters collections to be sure to have everything. I'm dying for remstered rereleases that put the accompanying singles and EP's onto the album like the old American vinyl releases usually did.

You may be stuck with only the photo sized one. But there are places than can do a decent scan, and if the original is of high quality, you can get a nice, full-color 2x3 foot print. I've seen it done. Probably run you 25 to 30 bucks without the frame.

Hmmmm, that might be my best bet since I'm looking for a 24 X 36 size to fit a frame I have. Thanks, Tub.

Good point about the singles.
I'm not into their early stuff, so the first Beatles I bought was the blue album, which contains one of my favorite songs to this day(by any band) - "Don't Let Me Down".

I almost envy you if you arent familiar with the Beatle's canon and are going to immerse yourself one rainy weekend in getting to know them. Start at the beginning
I can't really narrow down 1 favorite so I'll say:
Let It Be
Revolver
The White Album
Magical Mystery Tour
But my advice to you (wink wink) is if you were to find a collection <WINK wink>of the entire discography (wink wink) <WINK wink>and download the whole thing legally (wink wink), <WINK wink>I would recommend you do so.
