Lately I love, mean LOVE Peanut Butter and Jelly. I eat it for dinner. I eat for lunch. I eat it for breakfast. In my mouth all day long so sweet, so salty, so warm (yes warm) SO GOOD!!! "How do you take it lleeder?", your asking. Thats what I'm going to tell you, relax. For me its on toasted whole wheat. Next its natural peanut butter. Then the most important part the jelly. It has to be apricot jelly. Next here's the curveball. I put banana on it, cut in thin slices.

The only way that sandwich would be gayer is if it was wrapped around a cock.

I'm a purist. Chunky peantbutter on wheat bread (not toasted) and grape jelly (occasionally strawberry). With a nice glass of soy milk...

Now when I make it, I put peanutbutter on first and then wipe the knife on the other slice of bread and then put the jelly on top of the peanutbuetter and wipe again on the clean slice.

ok, i need Super Chunk Peanut Butter. The chunkier the better.

Now I'm not too picky about jelly. I'll take grape, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry..its all good. I'm not married to my jelly.

With bread, and trust me on this...RYE BREAD. I LOVE pb&j on Rye. You know whats even better? PB&J with SEEDED RYE! so good

I am SO sick of PB&J. I have eaten so many PB&J sandwiches for lunch in the past year to stretch my food budget (and because I'm lazy).

BUT my favorite PB combo is PB, banana, on whole grain bread, with honey and sunflower seeds (optional).

Superchunk peanut butter rules.

Lately, I've been getting natural, no-salt added crunchy peanut butter (I'm not big on salty flavors, so this is fine with me) and raspberry Polaner all-fruit preserves. I also have strawberry preserves that are a bit too sweet for me, so I think the next time the Polaner goes on sale, I'm stocking up on that. On whole grain bread. (Lately, it's been Wegman's "Food You Feel Good About" whole wheat/whole grain breads, with whatever Matt buys when it's his rotation to buy bread...usually Arnold. Which is OK, but I like the Wegman's breads better.)

And I hate grape jelly and grape jam.
Grape jelly is too sweet and very gloppy. I hate gloppy jelly.

It makes me sick and reminds me of Jell-O.

I hate Jell-O. (The way people react when I say I hate Jell-O makes me feel like I must be the only American on this continent who loathes Jell-O. It's just gross.)

I do enjoy a good fluffernutter every now and again. And the one thing that makes fluffernutters "gourmet" is Nutella (or store-brand knockoff) spread. (And this is the only instance in which I will eat creamy peanut butter - the fluffernutter.)

Lastly, when I'm cranky and we've got Nutella in the house, nothing beats peanut butter and Nutella.

I like Jell-O, but only with whipped cream. But I can totally understand why you find it gross. The gelatin in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues.

The only type of PB&J I like is if it's from a Smucker's Goober Jar. I can't stand regular jelly. If I don't have any of that Smucker's stuff then it's just PB on white bread for me.

Sometimes I add in some banana with a tiny bit of chocolate syrup when the PB gets old.

I just don't like the texture. Smooth and jiggly...ewww.

Also, when I was a kid, my dad would make our school lunches. Four identical school lunches.

So, he'd make them to suit the most difficult-to-please of us. At the time, that was my brother Gerald. Gerald enjoyed gloppy jelly. And gloppy mayonnaise.

When you bite into a sandwich expecting a nice mix of jelly-flavor and peanut butter ... and you get a mouthful of jiggly sweet jelly ... it kind of makes you gag. Once, I nearly puked.

You know what used to do that to me? Grilled Cheese with a Tomato slice inside. You have no idea it's in there and as you go in thinking you'll be getting some cheesy goodness you bite into a sloppy tomato. You couldn't salvage the sandwich by taking it out either because all the goop and seeds stay in the cheese.

I really love pb and banana on toasted whole grain......but with the addition of honey makes me really curious. I'm gonna try it for breakfast tomorrow.

As far as pb&j goes, white soft bread lightly toasted with creamy pb and smucker's grape jelly with a tall glass of milk.
