I've been looking for some cheap oil companies lately and was wondering whats a good one to choose or good website to use to find one? Its more of a local question. How do you heat your home and how much do you pay per gallon?

Switch to electric or natural gas or even better coal or wood.
Personally I like coal (although I use natural gas) there is no shortage of coal, its cheap, and it heats really well - its messy though, but you can dump the ashes on your driveway for traction in the snow and ice.

I appreciate the suggestion but they don't like ashes on the driveway around my area.

This may sound stupid in this interwebs era but check the Yellow Pages. These type of suppliers seem to use that advertising in my area.

I do know its usually cheaper to buy heating oil in the summer than it is in the winter.
Also check with the oil companies and see if they offer some type of 12 month budget plan.

East Coast types need to get away from heating oil.

Yep all those New England and Hoboken (is nuclear free) types who heat with oil are contributing to global warming.

we heat most of the house using a wood stove and the colder rooms get a little oil heat

im going off topic here to mention that when it comes to gas, we aint got none in these parts....I had to drive over 20 miles yesterday to get to a gas station that wasnt out of gas....unbelievable! although i have some pretty oily farts, contrary to popular belief, they will not run my car
