I read your response to this post Horde King, but you seem a little off base.

1. The land where the state of isreal curently exists was ruled by Jews, Christains, and Muslims alike. If I remember my history correctly (I wish I could remmebr spelling) the Jews were kicked off the land by the Romans way back in the day. After Rome it was ruled by the Christians, then the Muslims. To say that its been Jewish land for 5000 years, well your a little off. The Ottomans ruled it until they got wooped in WWI, and they were Muslims.

2. The land was supposed to be split between the Palestinians and Isreali's after World War II. B/C the palestinians got greedy, and wanted all the land, they got screwed and Isreal got the land, which was a smoothe move, and renamed Palestine Isreal. And yes their always were Palestinians, people who have always lived in that area, and they are not just Muslims, they are also Jews and Christians, and there are quiet a few of the Muslim ones that are middle/upper class who are sick of this war and could really care. These "Animals" are just like us.

3. palestinians have no rights in Isreal. They do not have the right to vote, they do not have the right to land that they once owned, but were kicked off of (and I don't mean land in the sense of isreal, but land like what your house is on). A lot of palestinians have even been kept from reaching their jobs b/c they live in paestinian territory, but work in Isreal, it would be like the US not letting any Mexicans in to pick grapes or clean hotel rooms.

4. Lets imaqgine your a palestinian living in Isreal, you cannot attend public education, so your folks send u to the free hamas school for muslims, where radical fundementalists twist a poor young mans minds so he thinks if he dies for the cause he will go see Allah. Yeah these guys are sick twisted fucks, but b/c Palestinians are being held down, much the way Africans were in South Africa, they are powerful. If the Isreali's would just give the palestinians freedom, maybe things could work out.

5. Sombody has to bouce Arafats ass out of the picture, ignorance breeds ignorance and the problem will never be solved.

6. Sharon has to go too, he's a butcher who killed palestinians like it was going out of style in the 80's b/c he thought they all were bad.

I'm not trying to take side in this one, b/c politics has destroyed the whole area, but to say its all the palestinians faults really isn't totally fair. Blame can be given on both sides for creating the problem.

AND THAT'S ALL I GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT

and as I defend them, Arafat is nice enough to spew over the radio,

"Arafat said he is willing to sacrifice 70 Palestinians to ensure the death of one Israeli. The speech was broadcast several times on PA radio. "We will defend the holy land with our blood and with our spirit," Arafat told supporters from Jerusalem. "We do not only wear uniforms; we are all military. We are all martyrs in paradise."

I guess it will never matter with ignorance in charge.

But why defend them at all?

Look, I know it's cool to root for the Palestinians in a Fight-The-Power, Fuck-Authority kind of way, but let's deal in fact.

Israel, in the name of peace, has done something unthinkable in the modern World, namely sacrificing her land in the hopes for an ever elusive aura of tranquility.

Several of your "facts" are incorrect, but it's a moot point. If the Palestinians, collectively, wanted peace, they would've had it long ago.

As recently as last December, Israel was prepared to meet EVERY Palestinian demand, and yet Arafat still walked away from the table. So puzzling & frustrating was this act, that even then President Clinton, perhaps the most Left leaning President to ever hold the office, proclaimed that "the Palestinians simply do not want peace."

And they don't!

Know what Israel's one demand is before returning to the bargaining table? They have the audacity to demand one whole week absent a suicide bombing or other terrorist attack. Seven days where her citizens aren't killed for the crime of being on the right bus at the wrong time or wrong pizzeria at the right time.

Doesn't exactly seem like a lot to ask, does it? And yet the Palestinian Authority hasn't even come close to complying. Or even attempting to comply.

We, the U.S.A., are currently waging a war against not only terrorist, but the countries who also support and harbor them. The Palestinian Authority isn't only guilty on both counts, but they actually take it a step further by serving as a recruitment crop and training ground for the same kind of people who perpetrated the attacks of 9/11.

And, as the speech you quote above demonstrates, they do so unapologetically.

The terrorist act, Israel reacts, and so it goes. Peace is there for the taking, you really can't fault Israel if they refuse to take it!
