According to a US study published in the September issue of the Journal of Applied Psychology, these men appear to earn more money than their more “modern-thinking” men.

SVP @ my job popped out baby and was back in a week.

They have to earn more since they want a woman at home... I don't see a comparison of hours worked

I know you are just provokin on purpose, but I have seen plenty of guys out on medical leave for months for silly sports injuries like from golf while women are back in business 6 weeks (not month!!!!) after giving birth.

A gender role study is kinda silly at this point. I would wager that the differences in views on roles would very generational in nature.

So of course older generations are going to have more "traditional roles" and older generations by nature are going to have higher paying/high profile jobs based upon experience.

what about the fact that if you are earning more money, maybe you've been working longer and you are an "older gentleman" so thats why you have a traditional view on gender

also if you are a man who is fortunate enough to be able to support a wife (that doesn't need to work) and children, then you will naturally be inclined to have traditional views then someone who is making less money and needs the wife to help out
