theres a bb sized lump where the "ductus defernus" is in the picture

i dont want to go to the doctor though because i dont have insurance yet

but the lump is easier to find when the the boyz are at a lower temperature
would that classify as testicle cancer or am i jsut being paranoid?

I would need to know if the lump is attached to your testicle, or if it's floating freely in the scrotum, or something else. If it's attached to the testicle or surrounding structures, statistically, what you're feeling is most likely an appendix testes (#5 below) or an appendix epididymis (4 below):

these are little BB sized appendages that don't do anything but cause trouble. Sometimes they get twisted and hurt like hell ("torsion of the appendix testes") or you just feel one and go HOLY CRAP!

Now, having said that, please get someone who knows what they're feeling to feel this thing. You could call a urology office and just tell them you have a thing on your testicle you need diagnosed...they'll quote you a price and will usually even give you a payment schedule if you need it. You'll probably need a referral from a family doc, but any doc you've seen in the past could do that for you without seeing you.

hope this helps; let us know how it turns out, ok?

"torsion of the appendix testes"

I read that in the Dr. Steve voice.
Try it.

You should go see a doctor right away. When I was 23, I felt a lump on my right testicle and saw a doctor and urogolist less than a week later. It was cancer. I had to have surgery and chemo, but 14 years later, every thing is fine.

Now it may not be that for you, but it is something that must be checked.

I went to my Doc last Mon for a similar thing, more of a lump on the top/ back of my left nut, I'm taking antibiotics now for epydidimitis, He's pretty sure thats what mine is. I'm a nervous wreck though, there is definantly a change down there since I started the meds, but so far the treatment is worse than the illness, I hurt more in the balls now and it radiates up to my bladder, but I guess this is a stubborn infection, and the lump seems less defined. I go back next mon after 2 weeks of meds and then, hopefully, it'll be gone. I'd hate it if its more than that and I gotta loose one of the twins.

I had epydidimitis once as well. Mine cleared up pretty easily. I was antibiotics and was told to try and stay of my feet a few days and ice my boys. With your nuts it is always better to be overly cautious.

The trick with epididymitis is to support the ol' scrotum during the day. If you wear boxers, wear briefs. If you wear briefs, wear a jock strap. At night, take a nice warm bath and let the boys float around for awhile, taking the tension off of them.

If you're still hurting, go back and see your doctor. A quick ultrasound will usually tell the tale.

good luck!

steve

Well, I never meant to hijack somebody elses malady thread, but since I have lets continue, shall we. I have been on the Cipro for 10 days now and the lump is still there, but it has changed. As a matter of fact I am starting to think the thing is free floating in there. Sometimes it seems to be on top, toward the back of the nut, and sometimes it seems to be on the bottom/back. I don't know if it has something to do with how I'm sitting or standing or laying (I constantly check, hoping to find good news). I origanally found this lump due to a little tenderness, now ,since the cipro, I have a constant dull ache down there that in the evenings starts to radiate up my back and abdomen. I have the follow up apt with the doc on monday, but if you think I should I can go sooner. I there something that can free float in there, and yet always be on the left side?

The update nobody was looking for, but good news must be shared. I had the ultrasound and its a boy, no wait, actually they confirmed that I'm a boy. Anyway, I have whats called a Hydrocele, which is to say nothing, its just a benign water pocket over one of the twins. It probably only got sore because I found it and kept messing with it. No cancer, thank God.
