On Sunday, I noticed a couple of quarterbacks yelling at receivers and it made me wonder: What is your favorite battle between teammates?

I think my favorite is Hugh Douglas and T.O. brawling in the Eagles training room, closely followed by Zambrano & Barrett's slugfest in the dugout.

A famous one around here was during the Redskins training camp back in '97 or so. Michael Westbrook pounded the shit out of Stephen Davis. If I remember it right, they had both just been drafted, and were supposed to be the future of the team.

Edit. In full disclosure, I originally posted this as Smith, not Davis. And it wasn't their first season. Westbrook was drafted in '95 and Davis in '96.

Pearlman writes that Michael Irvin, incensed that tackle Everett McIver, in mid-haircut, would not leave a barber chair at training camp in 1998 so Irvin could get his haircut first, stabbed McIver in the neck. McIver was rushed to the hospital and survived, but not without losing a lot of blood. Irvin's silence on the charge has been deafening.
