Microsoft pisses me off

First off i don't want to hear from the Mac honks here about how great Macs are. It will not affect my life one way or another.

I received a "service pack update that I installed as directed. No problem except that it included an update to the Windows sidebar which I don't know if its new or not. I have used Google sidebar with a google search and a weather module (weather at my beach house used as inspiration to get through the day). So all of a sudden the Windows side bar is right on top of the google sidebar,with a clock. Fine let me see if they have a weather gadget. Im not married to Google one

Heres where it gets good. I add the Windows weather gadget and the only weather it will display is for Redmond WA, no matter how I try to change disable alter it:furious:

Shut down Windows gadgets, removed from start up menu back to my Google side bar

You talking about the Gadget for weather? You can change the Zip code for it the gadgets options.

Listen. You are gonna see a lot of stuff going back and forth between Microsoft and Google. They are two big powerhouses that are in the midst of a clash. From the new google browser, to the Android cell phone, etc...you are gonna see and hear them butting heads for years to come.

Plus, Macs are nice for what they are made for. Anyone that buys or takes part in the whole "PC vs. MAC" gay fuckfest is a douche anyhow. That's like men fighting over what shampoo they use.

Try as I might it won't change the location. It gives me a search bar for locations I add location, Zip code it doesnt update location back to Redmond

I think you may have inadvertently helped me figure out why my XMRadio gadget on windows sidebar has stopped working. I have tried just about everything I can think of to try and get this thing to let me log in and nothing has worked. I even went to the site of the ppl who built the gadget and they suggested a few things but nothing they suggested worked either.
Sometimes those stupid service packs create more issues then they fix.

Weird tho, I have the wather gadget and its fine. I wish it was that one that was not working. I miss the XM one. It never times out.

I know this is probably way too obvious but did you try right clicking on the gadget and going to properties and changing it from there. I seem to remember having issues in the beginning but somehow all of a sudden it worked for me. My default city was also Redmond, WA. At least you were in the same country!
