It is sad that all these professionals are becoming brainwashed, and it is simply because they are lazy. The reason MRSA, Staph, etc. is so prevalent in health care settings is because the professionals don't take the time to wash their hands, they think they are saving time. It takes a few minutes to properly scrub up, and I do it for both the health of my patient and for my own health. If healthcare providers were punished in some way whenever infection control protocols were breached, we would not have this problem. It's disgusting.
