View Full Version : Does this make me a hypocrite?

So, in late August I met a girl and we went out for a few weeks and had a great time. I was really starting to fall for her and then she stopped returning my calls for some reason. I was pissed but I'm over it. I was more upset that she didn't have the decency to just get back to me and let me know that she didn't want to see me anymore.
Fast forward a few weeks to last night and I went on a first date with another girl. She was nice enough but physically didn't do much for me and while she was nice, there just wasn't that spark. I am thinking I won't call her for a followup since I wasn't really feeling it. Now, does this make me a hypocrite? My thought is no because it was only one date where as the situation I had with the other girl was numerous dates over the course of a couple of weeks.
If I have seen someone more than twice I tend to tell them if I want to stop seeing them. My thought is I won't call her but if she calls me I'll get back to her and let her know I'm not really into her that way. Seem fair?
If there are plenty of fish in the sea, I seem to be finding those that have been swimming near nuclear power plants, where are all the normal women hiding? :)

If it was just one date I don't think its a big deal, unless you let on that you'd like to see her again. I wouldn't ignore her calls though, if she tries to contact you, just be honest with her, aside from the "nice enough but physically didn't do much for me" part.

That's fair. Just don't ignore her if she tries to contact you.

Cool thanks for the input, glad to know it doesn't seem like a dick move.
If she calls I'll basically just say I didn't feel a spark which is the truth. Definitely won't ignore the call though as I know first hand how much of a dick move that is

not a hypocrite... I wouldn't be upset if a guy did that to me after one date... I mean if there was no spark she most likely didn't feel it either.

After one date you do not have to call. After 2 is iffy. After 3 it is polite and one should call

Cool thanks everyone, I always try to do the right thing and be the nice guy so it's good to know my instincts are still right on target. Hopefully doing the right thing will pay off some time soon :)

By physically not doing it for you, I'm going to assume you mean she's fat. One rule to live by: Fat girls don't have feelings.
