so i was walking out to a car at work today (im a mechanic), and i looked up to see a cool illusion played on my eyes. there was a bird circling over the front of the dealership, and off in the distance was a plane coming in to land a the airport a few miles up the road from work. the angle i was looking at both the bird and plane it looked as if they were the same size and flying next to each other.

the thought that came to my head was do bird think that planes are like god's in their society, assuming that birds have a collective order. if i were a bird and i saw a plane flying through the air, i would assume they would be jealous or want to bow at its feet.

No.

But if the plane and the bird both fell in the woods, and no one was around to hear them, would they make a sound?

Do rivers smell like fish? Or do fish smell like rivers?

THAT'S the REAL question.

No.

This reminds me of a joke I heard once. The guys in the group who had been married for a while laughed and laughed at it, while those of us younger and not experienced in long-term relationships did not get why it was a knee-slapper:

If a man makes an assertion in the woods, and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

No.

It took over a year to find Steve Fossett's plane crash, so, I would guess no.

Bird Song
Grateful Dead

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew on,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.

If you hear that same sweet song again, will you know why?
Anyone who sings a tune so sweet is passin' by,
Laugh in the sunshine, sing, cry in the dark, fly through the night.

Don't cry now, don't you cry, don't you cry anymore.
Sleep in the stars, don't you cry, dry your eyes on the wind.

All I know is something like a bird within her sang,
All I know she sang a little while and then flew off,
Tell me all that you know, I'll show you snow and rain.

Has a plane's turbine ever sucked in a bird the exact moment the bird was capturing a bug?
