A good deal for Beckham and AC Milan. He's joining in a loan deal which will end at the beginning of the new MLS season. Loan deals between clubs are quite common in Europe, not sure about the US though.

Not sure of the upside for Galaxy and the MLS other than AC Milan will pe paying his wages until he goesback to galaxy.

it doesn't happen here much, but a lot of MLS teams are partnering with european clubs so that the American teams can learn from more established leagues, so I think we'll start seeing more of this type of thing. I just hope it doesn't become a situation where MLS turns into a developmental league for the euro leagues.
