I have started my woodstove for the season, and am cleaning out some old boxes with old newspapers to use as firestarter. While doing so, I have stumbled upon The News Journal dated October 22, 1993, with the headline...
"Toronto, here we come!"
Yes, somehow in the midst of the Phillies' World Series run I have found a newspaper from their last run, which in and of itself is creepy. Here's my dilemma...
Do I burn the paper, thereby burning any bad juju that came from that horrific Toronto series?
Or if I burn the paper, will I then be laying the jinx on this year's team?
Have I already jinxed them by bringing this up? Shit.
