I havent seen him in years, and I don't even know what emotion I have yet. He was married with a kid and he had moved to Florida. What the fuck?

That just flat out sucks, no matter how close you were to your friend. You'll get whatever emotion you're going to get in a day or five. Just keep pressing on living your life.
