he was doing NFL highlights on NBC and they played a clip of rex grossman saying he fulfilled his role.
of course, unoriginal non credit giving douche goes something like "I'm really hungry, we have any rolls?"

This is getting out of hand. The coincidences are getting too close.

As Ron pointed out last week, he's not ripping off Ron. He doesn't even have anything to do with it. Some writers on the show are fans, and they apparently write line in TRIBUTE to the Ron & Fez show.

I agreed with Ron at the time, but now I don't know. He couldn't possibly have the same writers at MSNBC and NBC Sports, could he?

a tribute is when you acknowledge the creator of the tributed art, something like "as Ron Bennington would say "we have any rolls"?"

just doing the bit without giving credit is THEFT.

I concur.

its really not though
it enhances the viewing pleasure for those of us that are in on the bit

be okay being at the cool kids table and just enjoy it

I find it much more entertaining to find little nuggets of R&F on other shows, knowing that the only people who "get it" are listeners of R&F. Having them credit the show would just ruin it.

I agree.
besides, a year ago when they were doing the evening shows at K-rock,
I would listen to the show while on PalTalk, and Ron would use some lines off the screen
without giving credit.

Yes, because Ron is KNOWN for asking for rolls on a consistent basis.

It's not theft. You've got a certain amount of time to get a highlight out. You can't give credit to every single reference you use.

Olbermann wrote in the Big Show book that he was a huge fan of Bob and Ray and would put references to them AS A TRIBUTE during his sportscasts.

If Ron's not pissed, you have no reason to be.

What other things has Olbermann said to indicate he(or his staff) are R&F fans?

There's been a few. The only one I can remember right now is razzle dazzle. I think there's another thread on here about it.

EDIT: Here's one. (http://ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58922)

Do they have the exact moment Ron invented hunger in the file library?

This is a bit hoo-hoo-ish. The guy in the clip said role like 5 times.

I wish he would have said that. It would have been nice to have an Olberman-free election.
