I have never seen anything like it. In all the elections I have voted for I have never seen any, but today in my western NJ mostly rural white town the polling place had black folks in it at 6AM. They didn't know what they were doing or how to use the voting machines (all were asking for help) but they were there doing their thing. When I was leaving more were showing up. It was shocking. Anyone else notice the same thing?

I've seen black people vote before. They've been allowed to do it for some time now.

Jeez, this might be the first time for some of you hayseeds that you have to stand so close in line with black people. Make sure to hang on tight to your handbags, ladies. The negro men are known to be dangerous.

God made it rain here because he knows black people dont like water...so McCain still has a chance here in NC!!

I will indeed add that I didnt see any at the other elections I have voted in which have been like 4....so I am going to agree this is a rare occasion...in my neck of the woods anyways...(but I live over in the conservative side of Raleigh...its called Cary...being homeless is illegal, and people dont litter here so not many ghetto types live here)

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the
first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack
Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75%
Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack
Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya , his father's family was mainly
Arab. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and
87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not
an African Negro).

whoooooooooo cares?

i dont even know what McCain's ethnicity is. Is he Irish? He has that "M-little c-big letter" type name

and im not even some hippy-dippy "i don't see race or color" type person...but when one individuals race is discussed for 2 years straight, after awhile you just gotta go "is it really that big of a deal...i mean really?"

And i think its good for black people to come out and vote today. I think its good for ALL americans to go out and vote.....thats what we want in this country

He wouldn't be an Arab-American president, he would be an Arab-Kenyan president. If you listened to yesterday's show, we found out that he was born in the town of Hawaii, Kenya.

I can't believe it is still so much about race. It saddens me really.
I wouldn't care if one of the candidates was an Inuit midget. The most qualified person gets my vote.
But then again, I have a problem with fundamentalist hayseeds, so am I any better?

BTW, there were a lot of Jewish people at my polling place this morning.

Oh right, there are a lot of Jewish people in my district. Doesn't matter.

Get out and vote!

The only thing I got out of yesterday's show was the McCain was firing his missile at Barack Obama on the USS Forrestal, so he single-handedly caused the 2nd worst naval disaster in US history.

at this point we know Obama is a sincere patriotic American, if he had anything in his past to contradict that it would be EVERYWHERE. So anything about his race doesn't mean anything

Its like, say they move a co-worker of a different race in your office. The first day you may fall back on stereotypes and prejudices, but after you talk a bit its just a guy....i think race is something pretty easy to look past once you know an individual.

But maybe i just don't hold racial grudges

so you vote for ethnicity? wtf? how about listening to the candidates agenda and vote for what they stand for and what you stand for as well.

Either be American and vote for what is best for YOU or be human and vote for what's best for the country.

I wish I could vote, it makes me sad that there are so many informed people in this country that contribute to the economy and have no right to vote while millions of rubes get put in their uninformed and uneducated vote.
The right to vote should be determined like a drivers license. take some tests to make sure you understand that this is not about color, ethnicity or popularity.

Forget "filled with black people" ... my polling place was PACKED this morning!

I haven't ever been so proud to be a registered voter as I was this morning at 6am, shortly after the polls opened here in NJ.

The poll workers were excited to see younger voters.

I was amazed to see lines out the door.

(OK, so the place where I voted is about the size of my 5th grade classroom, but that's not the point. The point is, people made the effort to get out and vote. This is going to be one interesting day, I can tell you that.)

If i were voting it wouldn't be based on ethnicity, both candidates are terrible. I worked very hard to get where I am in life, and pay a fuck load in taxes and I'm not excited about paying more than i feel is my fair share. I'm not jumping on the cumia bandwagon, he is a jackass. mccain is horrible on the other end. fuck them both. No where in my copy paste post did i say or even hint towards voting based on ethnicity

yeah, and then take some literacy tests and read the constitution. And maybe you only get to vote if you grandfather could vote...

You can base your vote on whatever you like, and very full people consider all the issues and consequences in deciding their vote. Much of the time it comes down to who looks and sounds better, since you will have to see that person on television on a near daily basis for the next four years.

How about filled with people, period.

I got there 5 minutes after the polls opened, had to park a quarter mile away, and the line was wrapped around the block. I stood there for 20 minutes, moved about 4 feet, and had to leave. Absolutely unreal; unlike any election I have been a part of.

Have to try again later...
