It was scheduled to come out 2 years ago - came out this time last year (finally) and is not worth the effort. In the special features, the filmmakers admitted two things that pissed me off - they only made it because they were looking for a popular movie in the public domain to remake (wow...art!), and they actually made it sound like like had made this enormous discovery with the little known "Sid Haig" after seeing "House of 1000 Corpses" - nevermind the huge career he had prior to that - nevermind one of the greatest horror films every made ("Spider Baby").

The producers are douches - the movie is another "re-imagining" that goes for clever over gore - the only reason to watch is if you love to see Sid Haig play Sid Haig - your name an avitar are still clever and edgy and stuff.
