the website of the company (brand) you bought it from, for example if its a dell, go to their site and check for drivers based on your model

Do a complete shutdown, sit off for 60 seconds, turn it back on. EIther your audio device failed, or it just didn't start up properly and initialize. Or.....

Marc,

go to your audio card manufacturer's website and look for the latest drivers. Could have been a glitch that occured, and updated software could fix that. If it is a dell or something like that, go to their website and update drivers through there.
