I was tossing the ol' pigskin with my brother last night and stepped in some wet dog shit. I've never stepped in wet dog shit before believe it or not, so I was amiss as to how to best remove the aformentioned wet dog shit from my stinking dog shit shoe.

I resorted to using the hose on it then scrubbing it down with one of those wood handle bristle brushes and then dumped some toilet cleaner on the sneaks. Of course I had to use a flathead screwdriver to wedge out the shit that waffled into the many many little crevices they seem to like putting at the bottom of sneakers. Follow with lots of paper towels and a garbage bag that isn't going back in the house. And of course pants and shirts went straight into the washing machine followed by a long shower.

It's now sitting outside, and I'm considering either burning it or tossing it in the washing machine despite the advice of everyone.

What do you do when you got shit on your shoe?

This was the ice cream variety dog shit. And it smelled rich. Got squished into the shoe real good. Normally I don't care, but this was a special smell.

I'm not a germ freak but there's something about shitties that gets me skeeved like nothing else.

It's particularly tricky now that it is fall.
You think you got all of the poop, but there is a nice creamy one hiding under a few fallen leaves.

Then Spray cleanser and a quality paper towel.
Pointed stick to clean the nooks and crannies.

I've done this halfway through a lawn mowing.
