Name your top 5 favorite moments from the O&A show. This can go all the way back to Boston days. Extra points for obscurity (i.e. doesn't show up on the replay very much)

Mine are:
1) Staple-gun challenge. It was so fucking random and uncalled for I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through.

2) Breuer and the Razor-rollerboard skooter ad/Long Island dog memories

3) Racial jokes Muhammed Ali style back at WNEW. Float like a cinderblock...sting like a marshmallow... i'm the gravest. 'How u shave an Eye-talian girl's legs?' 'roll a lawnmower over them' Never gets replayed.

4) Any and everything relating to Herky Ben's tummy aches and gravy leg (WNEW+XM). Norton did an impression of him on the shitter with his lil' legs kicking off the ground while he goes "HEHHHHHUUUUAAAGHHHh!!!" Priceless. As bonus, there was a quick moment where they played this kind of 'elephant song' or something to describe how his giant hog would grab urinal cakes and throw piss over his back while he'd go "DUDE"

5) Their reaction to the Lacey Peterson tribute song. Lil' Conner sez 'momma, these for you' and hands her a boquet of seaweed. There was nothing good or just about this joke and I was howling anyway

These are off the top of my head and mostly from the WNEW days since I listened to a lot of that material quite a few times during their hiatus.

5. Ants in My Pants. Basically just playing wildly inappropriate clips during an Olsen Twins song. It didn't hurt that I had suffered through their terrible movies while babysitting my cousin around the same time.

4. Ant's Divorce show. They just killed him for hours about what was written in the press.

3. Jay Mohr vs Dice. I don't know if I ever laughed as hard as I did when after 20 minutes of arguing Dice just chimed in with "Oh, I didn't know. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot."

2. Jim Norton Roast.

1. Figuring out the New Format. A new caller complains that the show has no format, leading to 40 minutes of them goofing on all the hacky radio bits out there.

There are some really good ones out there, but these are the best that pop to mind right now:

1) NRA Theme Restaurant - it is especially funny near the end when everybody is laughing hysterically at what the fans are calling and writing in with. The best ones might be the non-gun related deaths which make Anthony laugh-yell that the audience are a bunch of tools.

2) The Interviews with Ronald Reagan - freaking hilarious, and the way Anthony would have to leave the studio every time Reagan called was great. The best one I have not heard in years; Reagan calls in and is really funny, then Anthony returns and asks how everything went and Opie says it was just "OK." Anthony gets pissed and Reagan calls back to defend how much his bit killed.

3) Patrice Discusses the Meaning of the Top 10 Country & Rap Songs - two bits that had the same root, so I consider them a continuation. Great dissection of country & rap songs, their titles, their lyrics, and what they “really mean.”

4) Celine Dion in New Orleans - I don't know why that one makes me laugh so hard, but it does. "Let them touch it!"

5) The 9-11 Broadcasts - I haven't heard them since and probably don't want to, but the shows during the week of 9-11 (and even a little later) were astounding. Between O&A and the couple of Ron & Fez shows I heard, it was some of the best use of the radio airwaves ever. Letting people vent, discuss things, and just helping to keep people connected has to be the most depressing yet brightest shining moment for the show.

That was a great one. I still use one the jokes Ant said that day. "What's the difference between Batman and a black man? Batman can go to the store without Robin"

Same show they did the brilliant "Format" bit as well. That was a good day

A personal one:

the first Bruce Campbell appearance.
The reason I left the radio tuned in, and all these years later, I'm still hooked.

I don't know if anyone will remember this. It was from way back when the show was XM only.

They had a tape of a "slow" child telling a reporter a knock-knock joke.

"Knock-knock"

"Who's there????"

"Olive"

"Olive who????"

The lines by Ant and Jimmy had me crying.
And there was this thing that Jimmy was trying to get Op to time out the clip with him.
When it finally came together, I couldn't breathe anymore, I was laughing so fucking hard.

Tape: "Knock-knock"

James: "Drop dead, retard"

This has been on "Worst ofs".
Patrice was in, and they were talking about this guy's wife "conveniently" falling overboard and getting lost at sea.

And Op played "Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot" along the sounds of water, and then faded out the music as the ship gets further away from you.

"Get ya Rock Coat, mon"

The day Bill Burr was in studio and every time they bombed, they had to take a mouse trap to the hand. They were so nervously throwing out jokes after a while.

YES

Twas Schitzo Bill

That was fucking classic. They all slowly left and then someone on staff dressed up like a bee-keeper

Funny and cringy as well

Also, one of my favorites, was way early on at XM when John Valby played at the Steinway shop. Hysterical

Dice vs. Dice

Schitzo Bill and the Beekeeper

That caller who thought she won tickets to a concert.

Jimmy gets snubbed trying to get an autograph (i forget which baseball player)

Eat this book.

The intern who claimed he was late cuz he hurt his eye and came in with an eyepatch.

Whoops, thats six. There's so many more. But most of my favorite moments haven't been the big bits or anything with a 'name', they've been the day to day, telling stories about their lives, messing with a caller, fighting over whatever.

Do you mean the one that stayed on the phone for like an hour just going "Hello? Hello?! I can hear you!" I think she "won" Rick Springfield tickets.

Cause that was brilliant.

Wild Bill Productions- the diary of abused unwashed dirty child Anthony/Steve C selling porno to children by a dumpster/the famous 'You're in my fucking house! promos that they read aloud in studio. At the end of the first promo Erock playing the role of woman #1 is ordered by Senőr Cumia "NOW GO BLOW MY KIDS WHORE!!!".. fucking classic.
