Please dont think I am racist for saying this, but I have noticed a marked difference in the attitude of most blacks I know since this historic winning election. I kind of liken it to when one sports team wins and the winning fans are all boisterous and super proud and kind of flaunting it.
Its okay, and I understand it, but it is also unnerving too, because I have seen a few eruptions in my office by women who went to the racial card because someone said something barely ethnic and they jumped on them. It is almost as if their antenna is up and they are looking for things that they believe are racial.
Again, I am not trying to incite anything, but wonder if anyone has experienced this?

The technical term is uppity. Racist.

So you've noticed black being extra racially sensitive because there is a black president? That seems counter-intuitive.

Not counterintuitive, I am referring to a winning attitude and sensitivity

Yeah, but to me a winning attitude goes right along with a feeling of strength and toughness, so to me it seems counter-intuitive.

Perhaps there's a heightened sense of race because of the recent election.

You are thought of as a racist anytime you open a conversation with the underlined. (...and usually that thought is just.)

Yeah, but if you did not preface the statement, you are thought it for sure. No way to win. Thats why people do not have dialog.

Are you "unnerved" when people are all defensive about their sports teams, too?

I think you'll see a lot of the people excited also defensive because we've already seen plenty of other people complaining or trying to spin it as not a big deal or even something to be worried about.
