Sirius XM are redoing there channel listing starting on Wednesday...........that's probably why. Source (http://www.nowpublic.com/tech-biz/sirius-xm-channel-merge-begins-next-week)

They will bring it back. They would be foolish if they don't.

Don't count on it. Last time it was a DirecTV decision, and we were able to get it reversed with massive complaints. This time, it's likely Mel's/XM Sirius's decision, because they don't want DirecTV to get the fees The Virus generates fort DirecTV, but wants them all for themselves.

they tried this before and changed their minds after a few phone calls from fans.

Few of the channel listings floating aroudn indicate the Opie and Anthony Channel, with no Virus Channel around. Maybe Ron and Fez will be moved to a different XL channel, with more talk shows like CT & Jivin and others surrounding them? I doubt it, but who knows.

It is a money thing for Sirius XM most likely. The Virus is one of the premium add ons for Sirius so they do not want to "give it away" on Direct TV.

it isnt given away on DirecTv, you have to have one of the mid to higher level subscription to get ch. 879 and a few others.
I cannot imagine that Sirius/XM do not make money off of this from DTV. I really hope they will bring it back!

On 879 it says "The Virus ended. New Service coming soon". It doesn't say that on 807, the Oprah Channel they removed, so maybe, maybe there's an iota of hope?????

This sucks, it happened once before, but that was different in that direct tv removed it, and we the fans convinced them to put it back on, now this is xm doing it.

I used to listen to the guys on wnew, but really became a diehard fan once I got direct tv, I went to sleep almost every night with 879 on, sure I can listen in my car, or put my computer on and listen there, but it's not the same.

Especially these past couple of months of my life, the two shows have made me laugh when I have needed that badly, and now I will have to search it out, more than just turning my television on.

Whoever made the decision, you suck.

I don't post here much, obviously, but over the past six or eight months I became a big fuckin' fan of the show. This is some AWFUL fuckin' news - Especially since that was the only way I listened to Ron and Fez.

I hope DirecTV brings them back, somehow...How the hell did this happen? Haha, it's insane. They're the best thing on television!

Keep us all posted!

I just checked, and I got "The page cannot be found".

Edit: And previous to this, I haven't be able to use XstreamXM in quite a while, and the XM site only has been working for me on Explorer, and not Firefox.

I could get the XMstream on Safari and Firefox on PC at school, but only on Safari on my iBook.

So any news on whether or not this is for good? If the "New service coming soon" means they'll be back? Anything concrete?

This is fuckin' lame. It's the only way I'd be able to listen to the guys.

Long time listener and used the Direct TV channel for convenience. Looks like it's not Direct TVs doing by the verbage used on the empty channels "The Virus ended. New service coming soon" and on some other channels it says "xxx was removed by XM". Who do we complain and raise a stink to?

Apparently it was SiriusXM management that made the call this time, not DirecTV.

Ugh virus ended new service...still up there.

Any idea when they'll be back on?

Its a minor inconvenience but my morning routine is all thrown off now. Not that this is a big deal, but I liked waking up and putting on the virus, and whenever Im home during the middle of the day its always nice to be able to rock r&f on the big tv.

The new service that direct tv is talking about is DMX music service. No not the rapper, but the music service they used to have. I wouldn't be surprized it XM is pulled off DTV for good soon. Casey is right, Dish Net has Sirius but I don't know if the have old howard on there. Mel is screwing it all up, look at the stock price. Soon they will want bail out money.

I have had DishNetwork for quite a while and no Howard isn't broadcast with the other Sirius channels. It only includes the music channels.
