1) When they 1st moved to DC, Ron would say to callers "Tell a Friend". Someone called in at the end of the show and said "Yea my friend told me to call, whats up". and Ron busted out laughing.

2) When Harry Elvis went to try out for Last Comic Standing, they brought Billy into the studio and people were calling in putting drinking themes into movie and TV titles. Someone called in and said "Billy I loved you in Oh Bottle where art thou" and ronnie was dying.

The one time that comes to mind is when Dave was reading his poems and then starts reading the first part of "Jack Donovan" When Dave starts reading the part when he goes into the convenience store and buys cigarettes and the peanut butter cups (about 13 minutes into the audio.) Can anyone tell me what Ron means when he says he hates laughing? I thought it was an ironic take on something when I heard it, but I don't know what, and now listening back to it it just sounds like the stupidest sentiment anyone's ever said.

i'm going to assume you were drunk when you wrote this and not rip you a new one but he's said many times he doesnt want to come off as one of those morning zoo shows that laugh constantly at unfunny shit and even if you can't tell humor you have to know that the show is way funnier than any other show

To me he said it because of the fact that laughing really hard takes a lot out of ya. Too many good feeling emotions mixed with I'm gonna die from not being able to get any oxygen into my lungs(!!!):lol:

Basically, laughing really hard sometimes feels uncomfortable. You could say the same for coughing or sneezing because it feels involuntary.

As what happened to me today. Granted, I was a tad bit high and buzzed. But regardless.:smile:

During a hypnotist show in DC, Don the Hypnotist had everyone convinced the cops were outside. Bitz went running out of the studio and hid under a desk. Ron laughed so hard, he pushed the microphone away and literally (!) fell onto the floor.

It only got more ridiculous when Don had Bitz convinced that he was "Don Knotts." Bitz ended up doing a Don Knotts that was a cross between Mr. Furley from THREE'S COMPANY and Barney Fife from ANDY GRIFFITH.

Crazy Jenn would also get Ron going big time - when she was doing the prank phone calls alongside Fez ("Roxy Carmichael") Ron would lose it hard.

there was a time that Dave was telling Ron how smart Dolphins are and he said "they are smarter than people" and Ron said "really? get one on the phone" , I was out doing field work around a multi-million dollar mansion near Ashville, I actually took a knee I was laughing so hard, I was really hoping the owner wasn't watching me out the window.
