I'm still pissed about the loss of Fungus, but this channel almost makes up for it.

This afternoon on my way to Wawa they played Fleshtones ---> The Who --> Satan's Pilgrims ---> Love.
That's my kind of radio station.

I'll bet sailor has some choice opinions on this matter.

Pro or con?

I would assume con.

Unless a lot of people listen to it.

Then it would be pro.

No matter what, based on the bands you mentioned (besides The Who), prepared to be accused of only liking bands that nobody else listens to and hating anything popular.

I'm liking it so far. We have it on while we have dinner.

I've been pimping this channel for over two years now. If you really want the definition of the kind of music I love, it's on this station. Plus, the DJ's are as entertaining as the music - Kim Fowley is a nutjob, but he's somehow been lurking in every major scene of the last 40 years. Andrew Loog Oldham was the first manager of the Stones, and has great stories of that era. To hear the Kinks, Replacements, and some new obscure garage band in the same set is everything I've always dreamed of hearing on the radio.

I've been listening to/downloading Little Steven's Underground Garage radio show for about 3 years and listening to this channel ever since it showed up on Dish Network. Little Steven can get a little wordy at times but the varied music more than makes up for it.

My board name is from my husbands band from back in the 70's when they were a garage band. Minus the Lady. But aren't all the bands that made it start out in a garage or a basement?

great station with an eclectic group of artists/genres but with a surprisingly similiar vibe

(all) the djs can get a bit talky and long winded

yeah i agree...i don't like hearing any talking between the songs. And i do switch the station whenever i start to hear talking.

The worst was that bore George Taylor Morris on Deep Tracks...blah blah blah blah blah

This is the on case where I don't mind talkative talent, though, as they've all been around the business for so long.

I love this channel. Here is an interesting show on Sundays.

BREAKFAST WITH THE BEATLES show on XM59 / SIRIUS 25 each week for three hours.

Have Breakfast with The Beatles

Start your Sunday mornings with The Fab Four: Breakfast with The Beatles is a new weekly three-hour show dedicated to the music and the legend of the group. Hosted by renowned Beatles expert Chris Carter, the show will feature classic Beatles hits, album tracks, B-sides, live recordings and solo material as well as some rare material. The show starts at 9 am ET, and there's a rebroadcast on Sunday at midnight ET."It's an honor to have Chris on our channel. We already play more Beatles music than any other radio channel so it fits in perfectly. Chris hosts the original Breakfast with The Beatles which started 25 years ago and is often imitated but the original has never been equaled. He belongs with us." - "Little Steven" Van Zandt
