Why aren't today's posts and new posts at the bottom of the page?

I hate when you post in a thread you have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to hit todays posts and new posts? Shouldn't these be at the bottom so they can be clicked easily? Maybe there's a better way that I'm not using but that seems like a problem.

Some tornados tend to "jump" off the ground and then land somewhere completely different. Your hippo is a fatty joke jumped from the scary weather thread to a different thread. Then the jersey thing was a shot at how rare it is that you all might deal with a tornado that it got its own thread.
