Just in case anyone doubts that the Christmas spirit is still alive and well or doesn't believe that this message board is loaded with the finest people on the planet, let me tell you all a little story.

I woke up Christmas day with the flu in full swing - sick as a dog and barely able to leave my bed. I eventually made my way over to the computer to say hello and Merry Christmas to whoever was online. TooCute was there, and when I told her how I was feeling, she insisted that she was going to make me some homemade chicken soup and deliver it to me...and refused to take no for an answer. Never mind the fact that she lives in New York and I live in Jersey, never mind the fact that it was Christmas day and she undoubtedly had other plans. She took it upon herself to help out a friend in need, and wouldn't let me spend the holiday alone.

I'm actually tearing up as I type this, and I still don't know what I ever did to deserve all the wonderful people I have in my life. I am eternally grateful for all of them, however, and Aya - I will never ever forget what you did for me on Christmas 2001. I love you with all my heart. God bless you, and thanks.

Wow Aya...that was so sweet of you, considering you too have been feeling ill.

I had a similar experience today with someone I met from OA.com....since I hate my family they invited me to hang out with them today :) We're all lucky to meet such great people!
