According to SI.com

10.Andre Reed/James Lofton
9.Marvin Harrinson/Reggie Wayne
8.Jimmy Smith/Keenan McCardell
7.Tom Fears/Elroy Hirsh
6.Charlie Joiner/John Jefferson
5.Issac Bruce/Torry Holt
4.Mark Clayton/Mark Duper
3.Cris Carter/Randy Moss
2.Jerry Rice/John Taylor
1.Lynn Swann/John Stallworth

What do you guys think? Kinda hard to argue the top 5, I dont really think Smith/McCardell belongs in the same category as some of these guys.

Where's Irvin/Harper?

If you chop lines, they will come.

That is a pretty glaring omission though.

No Boldin/Fitz? I know they have been together long enough probably, but their talent is unquestionable on that list.

i was thinking the same thing

i would have said chad johnson and T.J. also...before this season

and i may be a little bias...but plaxico and hines had a good run also

I wouldn't be a true Jet fan if I didn't bring up Al Toon and Wesley Walker. They are definitely better than a couple of duos on this list. Al Toon would have ended up a Hall of Famer if not for the concussions.

I think they need to actually win something, or be together longer for them to be part of this list. Even Smith/McCardell took that team to the AFC title game, I think.

Fitz and Bolden are pretty damn good.

but they've only been together for a few years

if they stay together a few more they'll def be on the list

Boldin and Fitz have been together for 5 years already. Wayne and Harrison have been together for 8, but really Harrison hasn't been very good since 2006.

not to mention there were tandums on that list that had only been together for 4 seasons. moss and carter for example are listed as 1998-2001. theres others too

Andre Reed/James Lofton? Lofton was awful at that point. Try Lofton/John Jefferson. Or Art Monk/Gary Clark?

I hate a lack of a sense of history.

I was going to say Monk & Clark. Glaring omission

Peter King was just on the Notre Dame Halftime Show and he was talking about this list. He brought up Boldin & Fitz specifically as the best WR duo in the game today but he doesn't feel they will stay together because Boldin wants to get paid. He said going in to next year he thinks Welker/Moss will dominate the league for the next few years if Moss can hang on.

Ahmad Rashad and Sammy White. White would get his helmet knocked off on a regular basis and still hold on to the ball.
