Seriously, it is by far the worst interview I have ever heard conducted by someone who is in a paid position at a radio station. In fact, I have heard many, many amateur interviews in college radio and basement podcasts that are far better. I have never been a Lilly fan but she was OK in the Ron and Fez show. This, however, is seriously embarrassing shit. It's not just that she didn't know crap about football or sports, hadn't done any preparation for the interview, kept talking over him, and made the interview all about her. It was that trying to be cute by acting stupid schtick that was piss icing on a shit cake. Absolutely unlistenable. Good riddance, Lilly.

I think I overreact to Old Lilly because she reminds me of several women I have known in the military - medium attractive women who end up in a very male dominated work environment and suddenly they are treated like supermodels because the gender ratio is so out of whack in their favor. Often their egos suddenly inflate to the level of Lilly's. It makes for really annoying people because they aren't used to the attention and it goes to their head. There is also a slight revenge factor in their egos - "Now that I am hot, I am going to be a bitch to make up for all of the times I wasn't asked to the prom or dated the quarterback". I have seen Lilly at unmasked tapings. She is just average by any standard expect maybe the military or small town US.
I don't know the woman personally and most of her Ron&Fez and Wease personality might be bit. But someone like HTG can be on the air and immediately you think she would be great to hang out with. If Lilly has created this horrible diva, Mariah Carey-listening persona rather than be someone likeable, why?

I agree. I do think she is attractive. I'm far from one of those people who pretends that they would kick Pamela Anderson out of bed because they prefer brunettes. Those are very weird conversations when you talk to a hetero guy and he will say something like, "I don't find Jennifer Aniston attractive". My only point is I think her ego doesn't match her level of attractiveness, especially in NYC. It's a shame because she would be extremely attractive if she was interesting, intelligent, funny, or in any way worth listening to.

I downloaded the first three Brother Wease shows, but I couldn't listen to them. I gave it about half an hour, but he seems to be the only one that talks, and I don't find him funny or interesting.

As for that interview it was pretty bad. I will just say good luck to her and I hope she improves either comedically or intellectually or she will be stuck having her radio broken into in Rochester for a long time.

I finally got around to listening to this, and it WAS bad.

But then I got to thinking...had she ever conducted an interview before? As far as I can remember, Lilly never did any interviews for the Ron & Fez Show.

So it's hard to exactly kill her for it. She was probably nervous, this being her first assignment, on her first paying gig, and she just kind of retreated into the whole schtick she did there.

She'll probably get better as she does more stuff.

And then there's also the possibility that she was told by someone up there to do the dumb girl routine. If so, it's not like she can walk in there, with no experience and no real pull, and start making demands about what she wants to do.
