"Private Lives" shouldn't be posted on the internet. Facebook isn't someplace to post anything that you don't want seen. If you post something on there, Myspace.com, etc and someone rips it off and blabs it then it was your own fault.

"Private Lives" shouldn't be posted on the internet. Facebook isn't someplace to post anything that you don't want seen. If you post something on there, Myspace.com, etc and someone rips it off and blabs it then it was your own fault.
no, it's the persons fault that thinks they have the right to take other people's pictures and post them elsewhere, or spread information they think is true before they even have a chance to officially announce it themselves.
Just because it is on facebook or myspace does not mean it is free game.
People added to private profiles are considered FRIENDS and expected to have the common decency to do the right thing.
It's the same as if you go to someones house and he shows you an old fashioned photo album and while they turn away for a second you steal a picture out of the book and then print it in newspapers and fliers and spread it all over town.

A decent person would contact them, ask if it's true and if they mind sharing this info with others who love them.

If there is any question that it's a fucking fetus, PM Mikeyboy and have him ban me. *Everything* I posted was viewable by anyone, friend or not. I wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't, especially in light of the wedding photos. I PM'd a congratulatory message to Lisa before posting this, and she replied with pleasantries. I take that as an acknowledgement that the unwashed were meant to know. Stop acting as her proxy and walk on.

Which is why you don't let strangers into your house and let them see the nude pictures you took of yourself and tell them where you keep them after giving them a spare key to the front door.

If you post something on the internet... Whether it be on a message board, a myspace, a facebook, a private website or whatever it's in the public eye. It's not up to anyone who happens to come across it to know what your intentions or feelings are about how or if you want others to know or see that thing or information. It's like if your walking in the store and you run into someone who tells you they're pregnant/dying/getting married/mother died etc. and they don't preface what they tell you with something like,"Hey, this is just between you and me..." and you go tell your chick or brother or whatever and it gets back to the person and they get pissed because you told. Or even if you hear someone tell someone else, you can't expect others to police your carelessness.

Like I said it sucks she's upset by this, but if you're gonna' let people you don't know view what you consider private then you can't be hurt or surprised when something like this happens.

I have two opinions.

1) Katja's right, in that tt's their right to spread their news and not have their spot blown up. But as Travis really isn't a bigtime on-air member of the show, I'm not sure why we're having a congratulatory thread on a non O&A messageboard, when he is in the periphery.

2) You put the pic on facebook as your profile, it's fair game. Brettmojo's right. No matter how many privacy settings you have up, if you do something like that, you're putting a message out there.

So if travis and lisa didn't want the news out there, don't put it on the internet. That's why god invented phones and private email.

A thread like this is proof enough that if anything happens, you all probably won't know until the baby's head is crowning.
