I was recently thinking about it, and there really is only one good Thanksgiving movie: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles. I love John Candy and will always make my holidays great. How many other Thanksgiving movies are there?

Charles Durning and Robert Downey Jr. are fucking hilarious in that flick.

Martin Scorsese's documentary/concert video about The Band's final performance, which took place Thanksgiving Day, 1976. Lot of great performances and a ton of guest stars on stage.
Hannah and Her Sisters (1986)

Woody Allen wrote/stars/directs this film about a guy who sleeps with his wife's sister. The film starts on Thanksgiving and ends the following year on Thanksgiving.

This one starts out with a 15-year-old kid coming home for Thanksgiving from his private school. He is infatuated with his dad's girlfriend, but ends up having an affair with her best friend.

Apparently the Godfather is a Thanksgiving movie, because AMC has had Parts I & II on all day.

"Closed due to a lot of death"
Definitely one of the saddest Thanksgiving movies.

I had heard that they used to show the Novelization (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0809488/) version of it every Thanksgiving or Christmas, where Parts I & II are re-edited into chronological order.
I've never actually seen it. I'm hoping it shows up some time soon. I've heard it's pretty good.
It's not a movie about Thanksgiving, but when I was a kid they'd always show "Dinosaurus!" on Thanksgiving. No idea why.
It was a cheesy pre-cursor to "Jurassic Park" with bad claymation, and I loved it when I was a wee lad.
Haven't seen it in years.

Can "Miracle on 34th Street" be considered a Thanksgiving movie?
It is centered around the parade after all.

Broadway Danny Rose. I like the idea of Turkey TV dinners for a party.

I think that's a tradition for them a few years going, now.
