Hanks did a bunch of movies before it, 'Splash', 'Big' and 'The Burbs' to name a few.

Now turn the movie off, you don't deserve to watch it.

Why was this thread created? Especially under the heading "Entertainment"? Tom Hanks had a number of very entertaining movies during the course of his career, Turner & Hooch just wasn't one of them.

T&H was Tom's answer to Michael Keaton's Gung Ho, another piece of shit that the Hollywood movie machine pumped out in the 80s. I'm really confused. I thought Hollywood understood that the lead should always have a hot chick on his arm. Mare Winningham is one ugly fuckin leading lady. The dog looked more fuckable.

My question really is why would anyone feel compelled some 20 plus years later to comment on this particular movie on a Ron & Fez message board? What kind of drugs had your mind reminiscing about crappy movies from the eighties?

I remember going to the drive-in to see this with my parents back when I was 7. It was a double feature with Dead Poets Society. Somebody decided to show DPS before the kids movie so I ended up falling asleep and couldn't be woken up for Turner and Hooch. I still have never seen it 20 years later.

However, the director of this did a very good film about the 1994 Rwandan genocide called Shake Hands With the Devil. He also did Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot!
