BASTARD - If God does not exist He cannot hate us.

But, even if we were to posit that God exists and even that He created us, we must certainly question His motivation for doing so. The Bible says that God created man in "His own image." Take a look at man. We're cruel, hateful, murderous, vengeful, etc. We're in His image to such an extent that He had to create a Hell to punish us for being like him. Does God hate us? A self-hating God will hate his creations. I submit that perhaps the very act of creation itself was to allow God a conduit to express his self-loathing. God can't punish Himself but he can punish people who are like Him. God does not hate us for being human, He hates us because we're like Him.

Something else to consider - To an omnipotent being, life is beneath notice. God certainly has better things to do (like whatever He was doing before creating the universe) than make up a bunch of silly rules to govern human behavior. It is the height of arrogance to believe that man is so important that we warrant God's scrutiny.

God does not hate us. Either (and most likely) He does not exist. Or, he hates Himself and just takes it out on us. Or, we are so completely beneath His notice that human emotions such as love and hate have no meaning.
