I don't know if anyone else in here has a Game Boy Advance, but this is a great reason to own one.
So far, GBA only has 2 wrestling releases for the system: WWF "Road to Wrestlemania", which is an okay game, but Fire Pro Wrestling kicks its ass up and down the line. The Fire Pro brand has been around for years, and this latest addition is worthy of the title.
The lineup of characters is unbelievable. OVER 150 wrestlers in all (some hidden, most already playable), and the cool thing is that they are ALL based upon real wrestlers...of course, they changed the names of all of them and altered the appearance of some in order to escape being sued, but it's the real wrestlers nonetheless. It's got guys like Stone Cold and The Rock - who look a little different, true, but that's changeable with the game's Edit Wrestler feature, which is fantastic for the GBA's limitations. If the WWF / WCW is your thing, there's several wrestlers from each to be found....and, of course, there are dozens of all of Japan's best. This game is a Puro fan's wet dream.
The gameplay and match selection is top notch too. There's your standard exhibition, tournament mode, league challenges, survival mode (similar to Slobberknocker in Smackdown), UFC shootfight mode (in the Octagon!), audience mode (where you have to compete in one of a half-dozen styles ranging from lucha to hardcore), and even an electrified cage / exploding ring match! The controls are pretty solid too, but the timing takes a little bit to get used to. It's worth it, though. When you finally execute Mitsuhara Misawa's Emerald Fusion (Frosion, Flowsion), you'll be very satisfied.
Basically, if you're a fan of wrestling games in general (and Puroresu in particular), this is a game that you won't want to pass up. It's a solid game that's extremely entertaining.
Now if you will excuse me, I'm gonna go reenact the classic Yuji Nagata / Takeshi Iizuka vs. Toshiaki Kawada / Masanobu Fuchi match from the New Japan "2nd Judgement" PPV...
