obviously Norm MacDonald is the child Gingerbread. But is the dad Steve Buscemi? At first i thought it was Joey Pantliano but when he says "C'mon Man" it sounded totally like Steve Buscemi

None other than Steve Buscemi, personal friend of Ron Bennington.

Yes.
Lock it up.
Well, if that's it, let's move on.
If you were a gingerbread man and your son was Norm McDonald, would you buy him a Go Phone?
I would not.

Obviously.
Yes.
I am certain.
Certainly.

does that site say all the voice over works in commercials? That could save a lot of "my brain going crazy" when i recognize a voice

Yep. I saw a Lowes commercial a few days ago and the voiceover sounded like Gene Hackman to me and I thought "Can't be, because I heard that he retired from acting."
Well, apparently he didn't retire from voice-over work. (http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/2093-Lowes-Ode-to-Joy)

wow this is my new favorite site
seriously though, if i was a famous actor i would do all that voice over shit. get some cash for reading a sentence
but what does Lowe get out of having Gene Hackman read the line? I doubt hes cheap and most people won't know its him...they could just get anyone to do it. Get Anthony Cumia to do a Gene Hackman impression for much cheaper

I don't know if most people wouldn't recognize him. Everyone I've talked to about it recognized him right away. And at this point, he's done so many, his voice is almost synonymous with Lowes.

fair enough. I don't think i ever acknowledged a Lowe's commercial in my life, so what do i know?
i just don't see how Gene Hackman money gets anymore shoppers than "regular voice over guy"

I've never understood that in advertising period.
They have Forrest Whitaker doing American Express commercials or something.
It's got to cost a ton more to get Oscar winners to do these commercials then regular voice actors.
Not to mention piss off professional voice actors that they're getting their toes stepped on.

so many big actors are doing voice overs. patrick dempsey does state farm commercials.
i still think the steve buscemi go phone commercial is cute, but i am extremely disappointed in malcolm mcdowell doing kay jewelers commercials.
i think he has the most amazing voice & accent above all. never did i think he would be using it to help sell jewelry in the mall.

plus i'm a little disappointed in gaz for having to question if it was buscemi or not. i expected more from the future poster of the year. especially in the entertainment forum.

I feel sorry for all of the legitimate voice actors that can't get work now. That whole topic was discussed when R&F had EG Daily on the show.

Way to be behind the curve, GAZ.

i'm feisty tonight. boredom is not a good thing.

Perhaps the actors have to make some personal appearances on behalf of the companies?
Then it would make some sense to have a known quantity.
