Should New Years really count as a holiday?

well going in the fake holiday direction.. you can say the same about Valintine's day.... just another way for corp. america to make money off the public.....

Yes but with Valentines day, you don't get off from work...not that I'm complaining that I do w/New Years, but it does seem fake to me.

holiday pay always good.... new years means s*#t to me i have worked it the last two years... yeah i guess that puts it into the fake holiday cat....

Of course it's a holiday...it's the celebration of getting through yet another crappy year ;)

Yeah it should be a holiday, but they should change the name to "Amateur Night". It's the sacred occasion on which rookie drinkers invariably puke on me.
