Elvis Costello's Spectacle

Although a little hamfisted in a new show kind of way, I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode of Spectacle. The nerd info quotient was extremely high, which may prove non-sustainable. Elton John plumbed some interesting depths, and EC's own knowledge base was very complimentary. I liked how Elvis left the door open for Elton to go on without interruption. Admittedly, Elton is an ideal sort of guest because he is intelligent and has plenty to say about music. Follows well in the tradition of Night Music and Later With Jools Holland. I look forward to having all my important thoughts pushed out by the coming flood of geek-fu.
