i think all 3 bands are appropriately rated. But i voted for Grateful Dead cuz i listen to them the least of the 3

I never understand how people think that the dead are overrated. They have a very limited but dedicated following (including me). They should not be on that list.

Pink Floyd also should not be on that list. They arent really all that highly rated.

Bands that should have been on that list . . . . .

Led Zeppelin
Guns N Roses
Metallica

ect.

i can understand Pink Floyd if you just talk about "Dark Side of the Moon" being an overrated album, but Floyd also has a lot of underrated albums too (Saucerful of Secrets, Wish you were Here, Animals, Piper...)

but Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead and Radiohead are all smart talented musicians that have a loyal following of people who like their music. Its not like they are hacks up there...yeah i agree, an "overrated" musician should be a band that can't really play music good but alot of people think they are good

I'll through "Aerosmith" out there for being an overrated band

It kinda ruins the joke when you have to explain it. Look at the 4th option...the bands listed are Bossanova's 3 favorites.

Sigh.....

as i got older, i've really grown to love a handful of pink floyd and the dead ... but i can put on any post-pablo honey radiohead album and be just beside myself with bliss

without a doubt, the definitively overrated band is the beatles ... even if you're the biggest fan, they are not the cornerstones of pop culture ... people need to calm down a bit in their exuberance for a boy band that hooked up with talented producer and made some good (even great) music

Of the three, I had to pick the dead even though I don't think they are overrated.

Anyone who picked Radiohead should be banned.

psh, radiohead is the most legitimately overrated band on the list.

I'm sure there are people who have never seen Van Gogh or Picasso or read Shakespeare and go through life without a care in the world.

I know that there life is less fulfilled without experiencing that art.

I know so many people that don't understand or appreciate any kind of art to begin with. I like to call them Cavemen.

I think Pink Floyd. Great musicians, but with the smallest amount of really good work of the 3.

to put Van Gogh Picasso Shakespeare AND Radiohead on the same planes a bit of a stretch dont you think?
But as I said Ive never heard the ART that is Radiohead so you'd be a better judge

One is art you watch, one is art you listen to. I think discerning people feel the same way when experiencing both.

Don't even joke around like that.

I suggest you IMMEDIATELY purchse Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, and Exile On Main Street and get back to me in a few days.

You're welcome.

I voted for the Dead. Nothing against them, but I think they're one of those bands that got big just because of drugs. Music that can only be fully appreciated with the aid of some substance isn't great music. To me at least.

I used to not like Radiohead, but then I gave them more of a chance. OK Computer is one of the best albums of the 90's.

Pink Floyd is just great. I personally think Dark Side of the Moon is their best, but Wish You Were Here easily creeps up there. Animals may be the most underrated album in the history of records.

And I assumed 4 was R Kelly, and I just think he's a class act.

I'd say most modern music isn't art but Radiohead most certainly is for me.

I've never come close to understanding people's obsession with Pink Floyd or the Dead. Hate to say it but I hate them both, but voted for Pink Floyd because they have a larger fan base.

Thinking that they're overrated is one thing, but the cliche criticism that they were a "boy band" just sounds dumber and dumber the more people say it.

definitely the dead.

Close second is this band called muledose, who will be performing at an AIDS Charity Event at Crashmansion in NYC on Dec. 20th.

I've been listening to the Dead and Pink Floyd for about twenty five years. I bought Radiohead's The Best Of (I rarely buy best of albums, but I wanted an overview of the band I knew almost nothing about), and really like it. I first heard and saw Radiohead on SNL about ten years ago. I think they were playing The National Anthem. It rocked hard.
The Dead, Floyd, and Radiohead are all different bands stylistically. How to choose who is overrated. Every article I've read about Radiohead, it seemed, called them genius'. Are they? I don't know. They're damn good, like the Dead and Floyd.
