I was doing some Christmas shopping yesterday and ended up in VS to get my nephew's mommy a gift card.

I do like the smell of a couple of their body sprays, so i picked up a bottle while i was there but otherwise I'm not the type of person who can justify(or afford) to spend like $100 on underwear and i don't buy into the whole PINK thing, so...whatever.

Anyway, while trying to navigate around the store and it's retarded two entry ways i noticed and remarked to my boyfriend that the store is nothing but a hotspot for older, middle-aged woman and 14 year olds.

Basically, each end of the age spectrum that wants to be seen as a hot to trot sexpot shops here. Either age that this mindset is interpreted makes it really gross and disturbing. (to me anyway). Why do women buy into this garbage? Uch.

I have literally never seen just a young woman my age (23) in there looking around. It's ALWAYS hordes of preteen baby sluts and leathery cougar soccer moms.

Does anyone else notice this?

I am always fascinated by the evolution of brands that occurs. Some of these places start out so high end then turn into trailer trash. Like you will see some brand like Tommy Hilfiger for example. His brand was pretty boutique quality at the beginning and now its become almost a joke its so bad and poorly made its on the clearance rack at Marshalls. I know its all second quality at that point but selling out the name to shit sucks. I remember my mom got a Coach purse one year. It was at some fancy shop in Easthampton. Big showy deal wrapping it up etc. Classy highend leather. It was her pride and joy for years. Fast forward to present times. Shopping at Woodbury Commons with my wife were in the Coach store its a bunch of animals pawing at the most hideous looking cheap ass bags with gigantic logos.

The giant victoria's secret logo, PINK logo or worse, "Very Sexy" logo is too much. I like the 5/25 skivvies, semi-annual bra sale, and good sales online, sets and fancy stuff maybe once a year. High schools girls and cougars are so desperate to advertise their sexuality that they eat that brand up, and it is in no way a classy statement. I remember a much more mysterious and romantic Victoria's Secret when I was a kid.

They've been selling makeup under the "Victoria's Secret Beauty" brand for over 5 years.

It's Estee Lauder stuff and it's pretty nice, actually. Their makeup brushes are good, too. (One of my favorites, that I recently replaced, was a VS beauty brush.)

I hate everything else in the cosmetics/body care department. Except their "Body By Victoria" hand cream. I need some more of that!!!

I recently went for more bras (am sort of between sizes at present and can't find decent support, so I've been rockin' the sports bras lately ... ewww) and walked out of VS because I was ignored completely almost the entire time I was browsing in the store.

Agreed with everyone who's said that the bras fall apart ... the quality has really gone downhill since I started buying bras there in high school. And a lot of the stuff is just ... trashy. Someone at work gave me a bottle of men's cologne from Victoria's Secret that her husband was given but he is allergic to it or all cologne or some shit.

It was actually pretty nice. I used the bottle up slowly, using it at that bottle of "good stuff" I'd use for better occasions over my normal stuff.

Only problem is, a gentleman such as muself seen crusing around Vicky's trying to find the men's cologne would instantly be mistaken for a sick asshole trying to get off watching girls buy bras and underwear. So I never went to get more.

Also when I use the online shopping option there are always a billion coupons I can use!.

Nice (if it's not to expensive for the quality) and doesn't have a logo blasted all over it. Also, if you can get it without going into a store or talking to a salesperson = more better. And if the women wearing it are between the ages of 17 and 49= more better.
