Today on the Ron & Fez show, the boys talked about some of the great "five minute" appearances by characters in movies. One example was Christopher Walken's limited role in True Romance.

What are some of your favorite characters who appeared briefly (a scene or two) in movie history?

My pick came up on the air quickly in the discussion -- Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross.

I'm going with Alfred Molina in Boogie Nights

Steve Buscemi as "Mink" in Miller's Crossing.

Hell, the Coen Brothers' films are typically packed with great 5 minutes or less characters.

William Hurt was nominated for an Oscar for his 5 minutes in A History of Violence. He was good, but not Oscar good.

I love Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins as Carmine Falcone. Really the Batman reboot should've been more mob focused like some of the Loeb/Sale stuff.

well, other than the fact that it's a horrible cameo, and Ron would have yelled at the caller for mentioning it...

I'm okay with merging them, but maybe we wouldn't since this is a thread about what the boys were talking about.

I'll leave it to mikey.

If we are going to play the Pulp Fiction game, we should go no further than Christopher Walken:

so, basically any 5 minute part in Pulp Fiction is better than Quentin Tarrantino's part...

My favorite director-as-actor appearance less than 5 mintues is Martin Scorcese in Quiz Show.

This mother f-ing red X is driving me crazy! All I want to do is add a picture of a nice rack! Miss Stein had a 5 minute Oscar-worthy performance and her breasts should get a little credit.

Son of a bitch, I give up! Picture that red X as a some 38DD's in a 34C bra.

Rodney Dangerfield in Natural Born Killers and Sam Kinison in Back to School were pretty memorable. And have to agree with a couple others - Tarantino was brutal in Pulp Fiction

Some sites don't let you directly link to another site. Best to save the pic and rehost on a site like tinypic.com. She did have a great rack.. and this was the pre boob job days so these were huge.

The Big Lebowski is full of them: The Jesus (who you don't fuck with), The Big Lebowski himself (get a job, sir!), his assistant Brandt (Mr. Lebowski has to be going now), Jackie Treehorn, all those nihilists, including Flea.

And some guy in the middle who calls himself a "video artist" whose name eludes me now.

Does Mr. T's boxing time in Rocky 3 count? If you throw that out, he probably had less than 5 minutes.
