I blame Akon for this awful sound put on all hip hop or R&B that has come out in like the last two years. Now the new Lady Sovereign song has it. It's ruining everything.

I'm afraid this awful sound is going to just overtake all music.

I just think the whole Autotune thing was a bad mistake. The songs on that album are raw and emotional and confessional, and he sounds like a damn robot singing them. It pretty much undermines the whole thing.

I love the new direction Kanye has taken. It's this weird hipster/electronic/hip-hop combo, but the auto-tune just ruined the album for me.

Although, a couple of the songs really stand out even with the auto-tune.

The problem is, Kanye can't sing for shit. Not even close to a "oh, hah, that was a good try, little camper" sort of deal. Not that Auto Tune is the solution, but him singing without it definitely is not a better alternative.

This is one of those rare occasions I agree with mojo. Kanye CANNOT sing. It was an OK R&B album at best. I'd rather him stick to what he is good at.

I'm a firm believer in the 'less is more' school of thought and I despise that God awful effect.

As fun as it must be to play around with shit like that in a studio, I like stripped down music.

If the "Unplugged" craze proved anything it's that people appreciate a good song. Over production does way more harm than good.

If only it would have convinced Kurt Cobain to stop using the fucking chorus pedal. Worst effect EVER.
